We have the barge design completed and are now ready to build.
Ireland's rivers, coastlines and waterways connect our communities, shape our landscapes and tell our stories. As climate change and environmental pressures continue to grow, we believe the greatest solution lies not just in science, but in people and harnessing their creativity.
When communities, artists and scientists come together, local knowledge becomes action, creativity inspires change, and every voice helps protect the waterways we all share.

This isn't a commercial vessel. It is a floating classroom, creative space and community hub that will travel Ireland's waterways. It will bring artists, scientists and local communities to work together on eco-arts and educational programmes
As the barge travels Ireland's rivers, coastlines, and waterways, it acts as a visible and moving platform for environmental education, creativity, and climate engagement. Artists, scientists, ecologists, and facilitators travel together, bringing Floating Voices programmes directly into communities that might otherwise never have access to this kind of work.
When the barge arrives and docks, it opens its doors to everyone, free of charge. Visitors can explore video archives, listen to community stories and interviews, view artworks created by previous participants, and engage with environmental learning gathered from programmes delivered across the country.
From local waters to national impact, shaped by the communities who know them best.
The future of our waterways will not be built by one person, but by communities choosing to come together. Every donation goes directly towards building the Floating Voices zero-carbon barge. Your support helps turn this vision into reality.
