We are so delighted to share about the delivery of the first workshop and coastal walk as part of the Floating Voices Shared Island Programme this week.

Last Wednesday we brought secondary students from Ardscoil na Mara together with the Corlann South East Services group to walk along the Tramore coastline to explore how we can work together to protect our coastlines and waterways.

From observing the landscape to testing ideas for coastal intervention in the workshop (see the images below for some of the great intervention models developed by the students), it was inspiring to see such engagement, curiosity, and teamwork across the group.

This is just the beginning, with more ecological walks and intervention workshops to follow across Waterford, Antrim and Derry right through 2026. Keep tuned here for more news on the presentation of the programme at the Foyle Maritime Festival in Derry in June and then Goma Gallery in Waterford in September.
